This year’s luncheon was a wonderful success with 560 guests who were treated to a fashion show of current fashions and trends presented by The Somerset Collection and Lord and Taylor of Novi. Women and children residents of Grace Centers of Hope Women’s and Children’s Program also took the fashion runway stage alongside professional models to produce an event unlike any other. The event received great media attention from many local television networks, area newspapers, and was profiled for the first time in Ambassador magazine.
The Women’s and Children’s Program at Grace Centers of Hope allow women to participate in one-year life skills classes—the only rehabilitation program of its kind in Oakland County. These classes focus on parenting skills, money management, computer skills, addiction recovery, and understanding and improving interpersonal relationships. While moms are in classes, they can concentrate on their studies knowing their children are safe in our childcare center and after-school and summer camp programs.
With tremendous gratitude, we thank you, our silent auction, raffle, and table sponsors for raising over $120,000 for our Women’s and Children’s Program.
Plans are already underway for next year’s event. Please mark your calendar for May 3, 2008 from 10:30am until 2:00pm, again at the Royal Park Hotel.
