Grace Centers of Hope

Would you like to know more about how you can make a difference at Grace Centers of Hope? Become part of our volunteer Corps.

Volunteer Corps are groups and individuals who are willing to come alongside our staff and other volunteers to help impact the lives of those who have been affected by homelessness and addiction. These volunteers are committed to working with us at least once a week. These volunteers are a key part of the process here at Grace Centers of Hope and provide much needed assistance in all areas of the Ministry.

Becoming part of our Volunteer Corps is a serious commitment and we ask that you consider this commitment with plenty of prayer and consideration.

Grace Centers of Hope Requires:

Volunteer must be able to support a
Christ-Centered mission.
Volunteer to work at least one shift per week
Individual must be 18 years of age or accompanied by Parent or Adult
Submit an application, take a tour, and possible training

Below is a list of opportunities that are available. Please note that additional requirements may be required when working in the program areas.

Children’s Program

Do you have passion to work with children? Working with our children ranges from helping in the daycare to helping with homework after school. We are open to ideas for field trips or projects you may want to do on site.

Life Skills Program

The men and women in our programs come from all different walks of life and are always in need of a strong Christian influence. If you have a desire to mentor an individual, teach a class, or tutor, this might be the opportunity for you.

Tutor

Our programs encourage our residents of the one year program to finish or continue their education. In that process we need help from volunteers just like you to assist them with that. If you are a retired teacher, current teacher or just have a heart to teach this an opportunity for you. If you have a previous experience with GED classes or training, even better.

Kitchen Volunteers

We serve meals 365 days a year, twice a day with Volunteers. This opportunity can be as an individual or with a group. Volunteers will assist the kitchen staff in prepping and serving the meal and clean up. We ask that your group size not be over 12 people total.

Little Grace Village

Seneca Street is a street of homes we have purchased here in the Pontiac community. These homes are transitional living for the residents that have graduated our one year program. If you like to get your hands dirty and build, paint, or landscape this is the opportunity for you.

Grace Thrift Stores

Grace Centers of Hope has four thrift stores that help support the ministry. Grace Thrift Stores are always in need of extra hands to sort, hang and organize donations. We have four locations so an opportunity may be closer than you think.
